How do you determine which adapter you need?
To determine which adapter you need, you first need to know the thread size of your faucet’s original aerator.

Step 1: Remove the aerator from your faucet
Most faucets are equipped with an aerator, also known as a faucet insert. To determine the thread size, simply unscrew this part.
Step 2: Determine the thread type
After unscrewing, your aerator will have either:
- Internal thread: The thread is located inside the aerator
- External thread: The thread is located on the outside of the aerator
Step 3: Measure the diameter of your aerator
- External thread: The diameter is measured across the outer edges of your aerator.
- Internal thread: The diameter is measured across the inner edges of your aerator.
Step 4: Choose the adapter
Once you have determined your faucet’s thread type (external or internal) and measured the diameter, you can easily select the appropriate adapter on our site.
Example:
If your faucet has a 24 mm external thread, you will need an adapter with a 24 mm internal thread—specifically the F24-M22 model—to connect your Purivee filter.
You now have everything you need to choose the right adapter.
⚠ Important! Some of the most common adapters are already included in the Purivee kit: M24-M22, M22-M22, F22-M22, G1/2-M22, M18.5-M22
